The CEO of Saudi Wildlife Center visited the Institute of Oceanography
On October 9-11, under the active arrangement of our company, Dr. Mohammedali Qurban, CEO of Saudi Wildlife Center (hereinafter referred to as NCW), visited the Institute of Oceanography.
The Saudi National Wildlife Center is affiliated to the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture of Saudi Arabia, and is committed to protecting Saudi Arabia's terrestrial and marine biodiversity and building protected areas to promote sustainable development of the ecological environment. During the visit, the NCW delegation held a one-and-a-half-day scientific research seminar with experts from the Institute of Oceanography. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on blue hole surveys, marine protected area construction, ecological intelligence observation, marine spatial planning, and microplastic pollution. At the meeting, Dr. Mohammedali Qurban said that the Institute of Oceanography has strong scientific research strength and hopes to strengthen cooperation with the Institute of Oceanography in more fields in the future. During the seminar, the NCW delegation also visited the "Xiangyanghong 01" research vessel of the Institute of Oceanography, and expressed their expectation for the use of the Institute of Oceanography's advanced research equipment to conduct investigations and research in the Red Sea in the future. After the seminar, the NCW delegation went to the Field Scientific Observation Station of Seawater Intrusion and Soil Salinization of the Institute of Oceanography for a field visit.
Ms. Liu Yisha, CEO of our company, said that in recent years, countries have increasingly attached importance to the protection of marine biodiversity and the construction of marine protected areas to achieve sustainable development of the marine ecological environment. The ecological research team of the Institute of Oceanography has actively worked to complete the first comprehensive biodiversity survey of Saudi Red Sea islands in the past three months, and obtained scientific research data such as island and land biodiversity and environmental DNA. The solid work has been recognized by the Saudi side. In the future, Haisida will continue to expand and deepen cooperation in related fields with the Institute of Oceanography in Saudi Arabia, to help promote the realization of high-level self-reliance and self-improvement in marine science and technology, and to contribute to the acceleration of the construction of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road!
